As a Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee the daily shift operations of the Housekeeping, Laundry, and Recreation departments. Your primary focus is to ensure that guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. Responsibilities include conducting daily inspections, managing departmental budgets, and coordinating room status with the Front Desk. You will also lead human resources activities such as training staff, scheduling, and providing performance feedback to ensure both guest and employee satisfaction.
High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of professional experience in housekeeping or a related area.
Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, or Business Administration.
Strong ability to supervise daily shift operations and verify compliance with cleanliness standards.
Experience in managing departmental budgets and operational goals.
Proficiency in training new room attendants and providing ongoing performance feedback.
Excellent interpersonal skills for building collaborative relationships with employees.
Proven track record in handling guest complaints and improving service performance.
Ability to manage staffing levels and employee attendance to meet operational needs.
