The Housekeeping Supervisor inspects guest rooms, public areas, and other facility spaces after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met. The role involves managing room status reports, prioritizing cleaning tasks, assisting Housekeeping management with daily operations, and coordinating efforts with various departments including Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. The supervisor is responsible for documentation, communication of assignments and issues, and assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee evaluation. The position requires adherence to company and safety policies, maintaining professional appearance, ensuring guest service standards, and performing various physical activities related to housekeeping duties.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance.
Ability to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and other work-related machinery over uneven surfaces.
Physical ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period during work shifts.
Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers or point of sale systems.
Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
