Job Description
The Intern, Product Designer will assist in the design and development of user-centered interfaces and interactions for web and mobile applications. The role involves conducting user research and usability testing, creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient implementation of designs. The intern will be mentored by an experienced UI/UX designer and contribute to improving design processes and guidelines, while participating in brainstorming sessions and design critiques.
Job Requirements
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to apply them in practice.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Figjam, Miro etc.
Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools.
Knowledge of responsive design and ability to design for different screen sizes and device types.
Understanding of web and mobile design guidelines and best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to find solutions.
Experience with usability testing and user research methods.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Strong portfolio that demonstrates a variety of design projects and problem-solving approach.
Strong time management and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong ability to learn new tools and technologies.
Currently undertaking a degree in Graphic/Web or User Design, Arts or software engineering, or related fields.
Strong interest in all things design, passionate for building delightful mobile and web users experiences (UI/UX).
An online portfolio that showcases your design skills and knowledge.
Basic knowledge in product design tools such as Figma, Figjam, Miro and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
