Role Summary
The Internship Merchandiser is responsible for assisting in product development and liaising with suppliers. This role provides valuable exposure to various aspects of merchandising, including market research and inventory management.
Job Description
The intern will engage in daily tasks that involve communication with suppliers and collaboration with different departments to ensure quality control and effective visual merchandising. This position offers a dynamic work environment where learning and growth are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in liaising with suppliers on product development aspects including costing, materials, and sampling.
- Collaborate with other departments to arrange and distribute materials for quality control.
- Support product-mix development through market research and data analysis.
- Learn and assist in pricing strategy and inventory control.
- Participate in purchasing management activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Merchandising Manager.
Job Requirements
Candidates must currently pursue a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and English.
Mandarin speakers will be an added advantage.
This is an internship position.
Contract length is 3-6 months.
