Job Description
In this position, the Lab Scientist will engage in daily microscopic screenings of various specimens, contributing to the overall diagnostic process in a fast-paced laboratory environment. The role also involves collaboration with other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct microscopic screening of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens
- Prepare reports describing microscopic findings
- Ensure sample adequacy and quality
- Assist in Fine Needle Aspiration services
- Participate in quality assurance data collection
- Maintain inventory and ordering systems
- Process gynecological specimens according to protocols
- Perform quality control procedures
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
Certification as a Cytotechnologist or equivalent
Experience in cytopathology or laboratory settings
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
