The Laboratory Officer is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the practical classes and operations of teaching laboratories within the school. This role ensures the efficient and effective functioning of the laboratories, adhering to relevant policies and safety standards.
Degree in Biology or related field.
At least 2 years of working experience, preferably in an educational institution and with a laboratory background.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu and interpersonal skills including the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
Possess high integrity and leadership qualities.
Demonstrate good planning, coordinating, and time management skills.
Basic knowledge of life science laboratory equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration.
Ability to perform laboratory tests and work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of safety policies, practices and regulations related to laboratories.
Knowledge of and skills in using computer software such as Microsoft applications.
Resourceful, self-motivated and result oriented.
Strong sense of responsibility.
Good team player and flexible.
