The Learning & Development Executive at Aloft Hotels is responsible for planning and executing training programs to support staff development and uphold the hotel's culture and values. The Learning & Development Executive is responsible for ensuring that all talents are educated in Marriott Culture, Aloft Culture, and the Aloft Langkawi Vision, Mission, and Values. This role involves identifying learning and development needs within the hotel, creating comprehensive plans for L+D activities, facilitating talent development in coordination with managers, and managing grievances effectively. The executive also manages the operational budget related to learning and development, coordinates L+D programs, maintains relevant training facilities, and collaborates with educational institutions for student trainee placements. The position requires maintaining professional communication, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards, and supporting the overall talent development strategy within the hotel environment.
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
At least 2 years of related work experience.
At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Ability to handle talent enquiries professionally and tactfully.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal forms.
Capability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
Strong organizational skills to manage L+D programs and resources.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
Capability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Ability to support team goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
Physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
