This role is for a Lecturer in Advertising and Brand Management responsible for delivering teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The position involves curriculum design, academic advising, assessment, research activities, and engagement with industry and administrative tasks.
The Lecturer - Advertising & Brand Management is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across advertising and brand management modules at the undergraduate level, and postgraduate level where applicable. The role includes curriculum design, development, and review to align with programme outcomes and industry needs, as well as providing academic advising and mentorship to students. The lecturer is also involved in assessment activities and integrates digital tools to enhance learning outcomes. The role includes conducting research and scholarly activities in advertising, branding, or marketing, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, seeking research funding, and supervising research projects. Additionally, the lecturer builds strong links with industry, facilitates practical learning experiences, and contributes to administrative and service tasks such as programme coordination, student recruitment support, and participation in quality assurance.
Possess a PhD in Media and Communication with a specialization in Advertising or a closely related field from a reputable institution.
Published at least one paper in a CI journal (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last five years.
Demonstrated experience in higher education teaching and curriculum development or substantial industry experience in advertising, branding, or marketing with evidence of coaching, mentoring, and high-quality presentation skills.
Ability to develop engaging teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of digital and interactive technologies to facilitate learning.
Strong industry network and knowledge of current trends in advertising and brand management are an added advantage.
Proficiency in creative software applications, particularly Adobe Creative Suite for teaching.
Knowledge of additional digital, interactive, and emerging creative technologies is an added advantage.
