Job Description
The Lecturer - Chemistry & Biology is responsible for undertaking teaching and teaching-related duties including designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials; conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals; consulting with students; invigilation; marking and assessment. The role also involves contributing to high quality programme and curriculum development, planning and implementing teaching strategies to optimize and motivate student learning, and maintaining high teaching standards in line with the College's expectations. Additionally, this position includes administrative responsibilities such as attending departmental meetings, participating in committees and working groups, engaging in continuous professional development, maintaining relevant student records, and participating in academic counselling during college promotional events.
Job Requirements
Candidate should possess a Bachelor27s degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry or equivalent from a recognised university.
Master27s degree and PhD applicants are preferred.
Experience working in the higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and high quality of presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning.
Able to use software blended in the teaching is preferred.
