The role of Lecturer in Design involves teaching students, developing teaching materials, and contributing to course development. The position requires participation in academic and administrative duties within a higher education setting.
The Lecturer - Design is responsible for undertaking teaching and related duties including the design, preparation, and development of teaching materials, conducting classes, tutorials, practicals, and providing consultations to students. The role involves participating in programme and curriculum development, planning and implementing teaching strategies to optimize student learning, and maintaining high standards of teaching to meet the College's expectations. Additionally, the Lecturer will engage in administrative duties such as attending meetings, participating in committees, professional development, maintaining student records, and contributing to college promotional events.
Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent from a recognised university.
Master's degree and PhD applicants are preferred.
Experience working in the higher education environment with teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or a good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and high quality of presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in teaching and learning facilitation.
Ability to use software blended in teaching is preferred.
