The Lecturer - Economics is responsible for delivering teaching and related duties, including the design, preparation, and development of teaching materials. The role involves conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals, consulting with students, invigilation, marking, and assessment. The lecturer participates in programme and curriculum development and implements teaching strategies to optimize student learning and motivation. Additionally, the role includes administrative duties such as attending departmental meetings, participating in committees, engaging in professional development, maintaining student performance records, and participating in academic counselling during promotional events.
Candidate should possess a Master's degree in Economics/Business or equivalent from a recognised university.
Strong knowledge of microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and related fields.
Experience working in the higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and high quality of presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning.
Able to use software blended in the teaching is preferred.
