The Lecturer - English (Foundation) is responsible for teaching English, designing and developing teaching materials, and assessing student performance. The role also involves curriculum development, implementing teaching strategies, and undertaking administrative and scholarly activities to support student learning and maintain academic standards.
The Lecturer - English (Foundation) is responsible for teaching and related duties including designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials, conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals, and assessing student performance. The role involves participating in curriculum development, planning and implementing teaching strategies to optimize student learning, and maintaining high standards of teaching to meet the College's expectations. Additional duties include administrative responsibilities such as attending meetings and committees, participating in professional development activities, maintaining student records, academic counseling, and undertaking research or scholarly activities.
Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Education, TESL, English Language Studies, Literature, or a minor in English, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
Applicants with a Master's degree or PhD are preferred.
Candidate should possess a minimum of two (2) years' experience in teaching at the higher education level.
Demonstrated links to relevant external organisations and/or the profession.
Experience working in a higher education environment with a track record of teaching and coaching experience.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning.
