
The Lecturer in New Media Studies/Journalism is responsible for delivering high-quality education and fostering student engagement. This role significantly contributes to curriculum development and scholarly research within a dynamic academic environment.
The Lecturer will undertake teaching and related duties, including the design, preparation, and development of educational materials, conducting lectures and tutorials, and providing student consultations. The position also involves marking and assessment, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting postgraduate research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Possess a PhD in Media and Communication with a specialization in Journalism or a closely related field from a reputable institution.
Published at least 2 papers in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Experience working in a higher education environment with a track record of teaching.
Professional knowledge of curriculum development or experience demonstrating coaching and mentoring skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including effective use of IT technologies for teaching and learning.
