Job Description
The Licensed Counsellor provides confidential individual and group counselling to students experiencing various mental health conditions, emotional challenges, and personal development needs. This role involves delivering comprehensive counselling services and psychological assessments in line with ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards set by the Malaysian Board of Counsellors. The counsellor also facilitates group sessions to enhance interpersonal connections and deeper self-awareness, maintains accurate counselling records, plans and conducts mental health-related programs, and promotes positive mental health among students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Additionally, the counsellor assists with administrative tasks, collaborates with student support services, and attends meetings to update on student development.
Job Requirements
Strong communication skills for providing counselling and facilitating group sessions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical counselling standards.
Competence in conducting psychological assessments and maintaining accurate records.
