The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for patrolling all areas of the property and assisting guests with room access. The role involves monitoring security systems including Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. The officer conducts safety inspections, responds to accidents, and assists guests and employees during emergencies. They handle disturbances, complete incident and activity reports, conduct investigations, and maintain confidentiality of security information. The position also requires maintaining a professional appearance and relationships, complying with safety training and company policies, and performing physical activities such as moving through various terrains and lifting objects as needed.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier objects with assistance.
Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and over uneven or slippery surfaces.
Good communication skills to interact with guests and coworkers professionally.
Basic observation and investigative skills.
Capacity to follow company policies and safety procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and security information.
Complete required safety training and certifications.
Ability to prepare and review accurate written reports.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
