The Manager, Systems (VM & OS) is responsible for overseeing the management and operational stability of server infrastructure and virtualization platforms. This role plays a critical part in ensuring systems operate securely and efficiently while supporting infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Job Description
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of server infrastructure and collaborate with various teams to maintain system stability. You will be involved in strategic planning and execution of infrastructure projects to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of server infrastructure and virtualization platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system security and efficiency.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery processes and backup infrastructure.
- Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives to improve operational capabilities.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members in technical matters.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
7–10 years of relevant experience in managing enterprise server and infrastructure platforms
In-depth understanding of server infrastructure design and implementation
Hands-on experience with cloud operations (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Proven ability to work effectively in team environments
Strong accountability for platform stability
Commitment to service reliability and operational improvement
