Role Summary
The Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and trucks. This role ensures equipment safety and compliance while supporting site operations by keeping all heavy vehicles in safe working condition.
Job Description
In this role, you will perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy vehicles such as lorries, excavators, backhoes, forklifts, and cranes. You will work in a dynamic environment, assisting in managing operators and drivers to ensure optimal performance of all mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on heavy vehicles.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform hands-on repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Assist in managing operators and drivers effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Support site operations by keeping all heavy vehicles in safe working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
Proven experience in repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles and machinery.
Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the construction industry.
Possess relevant technical/vocational certification (an advantage).
Valid driving license (GDL license is an added advantage).
