Job Description
The Mechanical Integrity Engineer role is based in Kuala Lumpur and focuses on supporting Product Solutions business line facilities in China and other global locations. The position involves managing mechanical integrity health in fixed equipment and piping by developing, deploying, and executing global workflows that align with business objectives. The engineer is expected to provide technical expertise in corrosion and inspection, optimize inspection plans using data analytics, and ensure the effective management of integrity activities worldwide. This role requires collaboration on a global scale and fluency in both English and Mandarin.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering or other related disciplines.
Candidates with prior experience and candidates with relevant strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in refinery, petrochemical, or upstream oil and gas facilities related to inspection and corrosion discipline, fixed equipment mechanical integrity discipline, or asset integrity project management activities.
Ability to garner technical insights from large engineering data sets using analytical tools and concepts.
Working knowledge in mechanical design, selection, fabrication and quality assurance of pressure equipment, heat exchangers, piping systems, valves, and pressure relief devices.
Working knowledge in key sections of ASME Sec Div. 1/2, ASME Sec V, ASME Sec IX, ASME Sec Il, ASME B31.3/ B31.1/ B31.4/ B31.8, ASME PCC-2.
Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required for this role.
