The role of Medical Sales Representative at Pfizer involves connecting healthcare professionals with Pfizer's therapies and innovative treatments. It requires a consultative approach to develop lasting customer relationships and utilize Pfizer's resources to support patient care.
The Pfizer Health Representative is responsible for connecting customers within their accounts to therapies that advance wellness, prevention, treatments, and cures for major diseases. The role involves introducing new and promoted medicines and innovative digital services to help elevate Health Care Professionals' patient care. It requires a consultative approach spanning Pfizer's entire resource and product portfolio to develop long-term, valued customer relationships. The Health Representative must use healthcare knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and Pfizer's products to achieve customer solutions. This includes planning and executing relationship strategies, identifying business opportunities, developing sales plans for channels and Health Care Professionals (HCPs), and effectively utilizing virtual and in-person engagement strategies to maximize impact.
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Pharmacy, Science, or Health background.
Minimum 2 years of previous sales experience is an added advantage.
Have a history of promotional or sales success, territory management skills, effective communication skills, demonstrated teamwork, leadership ability, and accountability.
Valid driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
Preferably with pharmaceutical, biotech, sales, or relevant experience.
Must live within the territory.
Experience with therapeutic areas and products associated with the role.
Knowledge of posted territory customers and markets including prescribers, HCPs, institutions, and organizations.
Develop comprehensive territory/customer plans to drive achievement of desired objectives.
Strategically overcome obstacles to gain access to difficult to see health care providers and customers.
Cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and build lasting relationships with top priority customers.
Assess needs of target physicians and address needs with a responsive approach, targeted skills, and appropriate resources.
Demonstrated track record of strong business acumen, problem solving, strategic thinking, data analytical skills, and project management skills, as well as excellent planning and prioritization skills.
Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and support customers throughout the sales process with excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and embrace new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment.
Strong organizational and analytical skills required with the ability to analyze and draw conclusions using sales data and call reporting software/applications and adapt to Pfizer’s technology to deliver information to market.
