OPERATING DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONER, OPERATION THEATRE-1 at KPJ Healthcare - Kuala Lumpur

The Operating Department Practitioner is responsible for delivering high-quality care in the operation theatre. This role involves working collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment to ensure patient safety and effective service delivery.

The Operating Department Practitioner works in the operation theatre, performing essential duties to support surgical teams and ensure optimal patient care. This position requires shift work as assigned by the Unit Manager, with a focus on maintaining high standards of care and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and implement care in alignment with the Vision and Mission Statements.
• Work shift duties as assigned by the Unit Manager.
• Inform the Unit Manager of any changes affecting standards of care.
• Take personal responsibility for professional development and maintain mandatory learning hours.
• Participate in teaching programs and orientation for new staff.
• Supervise lower categories of staff to ensure effective teamwork.
• Assist in appraising the job performance of unit staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
