The Part Time Lecturer in Economics is responsible for teaching and related duties including the design, preparation, and development of teaching materials. This role involves conducting classes, lectures, tutorials, practicals, student consultations, invigilation, marking, and assessment. The lecturer is expected to establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the University's expectations. Additionally, the role includes administrative duties such as attending departmental meetings and participating in committees and working groups within the Department, School, and Faculty.
Candidate must have a minimum Masters in Economics from a recognized university. PhD candidates are preferred.
Experience working in a higher education environment with a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and high-quality presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning.
