Job Description
The Principal Legal Analyst will join the E&P Terms and Above-Ground Risk team, focusing on research and analysis of complex legal, commercial, and economic developments. The position requires monitoring fiscal changes and maintaining risk scores to guide investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research complex legal and commercial developments in the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Monitor and analyze fiscal changes impacting the industry.
- Maintain risk scores to support investment decision-making.
- Engage with clients, presenting insights to governments and corporations.
- Collaborate with global teams to assess energy transition policies.
- Produce high-quality research and analysis of laws and contracts.
- Leverage qualitative and quantitative information for critical thinking.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law is essential.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the upstream oil and gas sector in Asia.
Proven experience in producing high-quality research.
Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
Strong critical thinking abilities.
Proficiency with MS applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with energy transition trends.
