The engineer collaborates with business divisions and stakeholders to deliver engineering and risk management solutions for ExxonMobil's facilities, leveraging global expertise and maintaining high technical proficiency in process safety disciplines.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related Petroleum Engineering field.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical, oil and gas industry in technical, operations, process design, or engineering roles.
At least 3 years of experience specifically in Process Safety Engineering roles.
Competency in hazard identification, risk analyses, and assessment methodologies.
Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and generally accepted good engineering practices relevant to process design and safety.
Experience with risk scenario development techniques and various risk analysis methods.
Familiarity with engineering software tools such as PHAST, PHA-Pro, Hysys, Flarenet, FlareSim, and Pipenet/AFT is advantageous.
Preferred prior experience working within a manufacturing or production facility.
Strong behavioral competencies including engineering curiosity, initiative, critical thinking, decision-making ability, communication skills, and collaborative mindset.
