Role Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for acting as a liaison between vendors and the organization. This role involves implementing and maintaining vendor programs while ensuring positive vendor relationships and performance monitoring.
Job Description
In this role, the individual will work independently under general supervision on moderate to complex projects, utilizing company policies and procedures to resolve various issues. The position requires effective communication with vendors and the ability to negotiate contracts while maintaining a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between vendors and the organization.
- Provide specialized consultative services to vendors.
- Implement and drive vendor programs, marketing, and training.
- Review and negotiate vendor contracts.
- Communicate with vendors on day-to-day matters.
- Build and maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve invoice and contractual discrepancies.
Job Requirements
A four-year college degree or additional experience in a related field is required.
A minimum of 3 years of functional experience is required.
At least 1 year of position-specific experience is required.
Ability to work independently with general supervision on moderate to complex projects.
Proficiency with various tools, systems, and procedures necessary to accomplish the job.
