Role Summary

The Professor in Architecture / Digital Construction Management is responsible for teaching and related duties in the field of architecture and digital construction management. This role significantly impacts student learning and research development within the university environment.

Job Description

The Professor will engage in day-to-day teaching activities, including the design and preparation of teaching materials, conducting classes, and providing student consultations. The role also involves participation in curriculum development and implementation of effective teaching strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop teaching materials for architecture and digital construction management courses.
  • Conduct classes, tutorials, and practical sessions for students.
  • Provide student consultation and assessment to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Participate in curriculum development and implementation of teaching strategies.
  • Support postgraduate research projects and maintain high teaching standards.
  • Engage in scholarly research activities, including publishing and presenting at conferences.
  • Secure research grants and achieve specific research outcomes.
  • Handle administrative duties, including committee participation and professional activities.

Job Requirements

Possess a PhD from a recognised university in Architecture or Built Environment.

Have at least eight years of experience in teaching, research, or industry.

Be a Green building (GBI, LEED) certified professional or possess working knowledge of green building.

Possess a strong publication record with 20 to 25 publications in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last five years.

Have secured research grants as a Principal Investigator worth RM300,000 to RM600,000 cumulatively.

Have graduated at least four PhD students.

Have an H-index of at least 18.
