Job Description
The role of Professor - Artificial Intelligence involves teaching and related duties such as designing and preparing teaching materials, conducting classes and tutorials, consulting with students, invigilation, marking, and assessment. The professor will participate in program and curriculum development, plan and implement teaching strategies to optimize student learning, and support postgraduate students in research projects. Additionally, the role includes engaging in scholarly research activities, securing research grants, and achieving research outcome targets. The professor will also undertake administrative responsibilities such as attending meetings, participating in committees, and establishing linkages with external organizations.
Job Requirements
Possess a PhD from a recognised university in Artificial Intelligence or Computer Science related fields.
Have at least eight years of experience in teaching, research, or industry.
Have a strong publication record with at least 10-15 publications in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Have secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth RM300,000-RM600,000 cumulatively.
Have graduated at least 3 PhD students.
Have a Scopus h-index of minimum 16.
Have experience working in a higher education environment including teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and high-quality presentation skills.
Have experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials including effective use of IT technologies for teaching and learning.
Have experience working on research projects and activities or professional practice/consultancy work with evidence of appropriate outputs.
