Job Description
The Professor - Hospitality Service Marketing / Technology / Service Innovation is responsible for teaching and learning activities, including designing, preparing, and conducting classes, and developing curriculum that optimizes student learning. The role also involves supporting postgraduate research projects, maintaining high teaching standards, and engaging in scholarly research activities such as publishing and presenting at conferences. Additionally, the professor undertakes administrative duties, participates in committees, and helps establish external academic linkages.
Job Requirements
Possess a PhD from a recognised university in Tourism / Hospitality fields.
Have at least eight years of experience in teaching, research, or industry.
Maintain a strong publication record with at least 10 publications in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Have secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth RM150,000-RM200,000 (cumulative).
Graduated at least 3 PhD students.
Have a minimum h-index of 10.
Experience working in a higher education environment with a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development, or evidence of coaching and mentoring and high-quality presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including effective use of IT technologies in teaching and learning.
Experience working on research projects and activities or professional practice/consultancy work with evidence of appropriate outputs.
