Job Description
The Professor of Media & Communication is responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and supporting postgraduate research. This role includes delivering lectures, designing teaching materials, assessing students, and implementing strategies to enhance learning. Additionally, the professor engages in scholarly activities such as research, conference presentations, and securing research grants. Administrative duties include participating in departmental meetings, committees, and fostering links with external academic organizations.
Job Requirements
Possess a doctoral degree in Media and Communication or other relevant fields from a recognized university with at least eight years of relevant teaching/industry experience.
Preferably with h-index 10.
Graduated at least 3 PhD students.
Published at least 10 papers in C.I. journal (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth at least RM150,000 - RM 200,000.
Possess at least 1 Intellectual Property (IP) in the form of patents, copyrights or trademarks.
Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and a high quality of presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning.
Experience working on research projects and activities or experience of professional practice/consultancy work, including evidence of appropriate outputs.
