This role is for a Purchasing Manager responsible for overseeing the ordering and management of food and supplies. The position involves combining finance skills with teamwork in a kitchen environment.
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for following established procedures in ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and payment of items. This role involves managing purchasing operations, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards, maintaining inventory controls, and supporting finance and accounting goals. The Purchasing Manager collaborates with kitchen staff, vendors, and management to maintain quality and profitability while also handling administrative and reporting tasks related to purchasing activities.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or a minimum of 2 years' experience in Purchasing or a related field.
Ability to manage work, projects, policies, and standards related to purchasing across departments.
Competence in using computer programs to perform purchasing and accounting tasks.
Knowledge of sanitation, safety standards, and inventory control procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence others.
Ability to handle administrative tasks and ensure timely completion of reports and documentation.
Understanding of accounting and budgeting policies and procedures relevant to purchasing.
Capability to comply with laws, regulations, and standards related to operations.
Skills in analyzing information, evaluating results, and solving problems.
Ability to maintain professionalism and deliver excellent customer service.
Organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
