This position is for a Sales Coordinator at Le Méridien responsible for supporting the sales team and interacting with guests. The role involves various administrative and communication tasks to assist in the sales process and maintain guest relations.
The Sales Coordinator performs general office duties to support Sales & Marketing, including filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, and copying. They prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process such as proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders. The role involves promoting brand awareness internally and externally, assembling information packages, and using sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty to Marriott. The coordinator handles data entry and reconciliation in sales software, answers guest questions about property facilities and services, and serves as the primary contact for clients through phone and email communications. They adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and ensure confidentiality and protection of company assets. Additionally, they welcome guests according to company standards, communicate clearly, develop positive working relationships, and support team goals while complying with quality assurance standards. Physical tasks include moving or handling objects up to 10 pounds, along with other duties assigned by supervisors.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
At least 1 year of related work experience.
No supervisory experience required.
Ability to follow company policies and maintain confidentiality.
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
Capability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and carrying objects up to 10 pounds.
