Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group and catering-related business opportunities across participating properties. This role involves handling group and catering opportunities that are not managed by the Event Booking Center, up-selling each opportunity, and placing business appropriately to maximize revenue. The Sales Manager works collaboratively with sales channels, builds customer relationships, negotiates contracts, and ensures proper turnover and service delivery according to brand standards. Additionally, the role includes using knowledge of market trends and customer needs to achieve revenue goals and delivering exceptional customer service to drive loyalty and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or related areas, or a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with no experience required.

Ability to work collaboratively with various sales channels to coordinate sales efforts.

Strong relationship-building skills with customers and internal/external stakeholders.

Effective negotiation and creative selling abilities to close business and manage contracts.

Knowledge of market trends, competitors, and economic factors affecting sales strategies.

Capability to support operational aspects of business booking and customer correspondence.

Commitment to delivering excellent customer service consistent with company and brand standards.

Ability to attend and contribute to pre- and post-event meetings to ensure customer satisfaction and service quality.

Proficiency in utilizing company resources like intranet and conducting site inspections as needed.

Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
