This role focuses on maximizing revenue by up-selling business opportunities and achieving personal and team revenue goals. The Sales Manager ensures proper and timely business turnover for service delivery and drives customer loyalty by delivering excellent service throughout each customer experience.
High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area, OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with no work experience required.
Ability to identify new group/catering business opportunities to achieve revenue goals.
Knowledge of market conditions including competitors, economic trends, supply, and demand.
Skills to close business opportunities and negotiate contracts effectively.
Capability to monitor same day selling procedures to maximize revenue and control occupancy.
Understanding of the property’s target customer and service expectations to offer better business solutions.
Experience in responding to group/catering sales inquiries outside the Event Booking Center's scope.
Proficiency in using sales resources and administrative support effectively.
Ability to execute operational aspects of booked business, including proposal generation, contract writing, and customer correspondence.
Commitment to the company’s service and relationship strategy to drive customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Skills to work collaboratively with off-property sales channels and internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in building and strengthening relationships with customers and community to expand business opportunities.
Ability to provide accurate and effective business turnover to Event Management.
Capability to conduct site inspections and create contracts as required.
Demonstrated customer service excellence consistent with brand standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with guests and teammates.
