The Sales Manager-Senior is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing large group and catering opportunities with significant revenue potential. This role involves handling group and catering accounts not managed by an Event Booking Center, up-selling business opportunities to maximize revenue, and achieving personal and team revenue goals. Additionally, the manager ensures proper and timely turnover of business for service delivery and drives customer loyalty by providing exceptional service throughout each customer experience.
High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area, or alternatively, a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major with no work experience required.
Ability to identify, qualify, and solicit new group and catering business to achieve revenue goals.
Strong understanding of market opportunities, competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and how to leverage this knowledge in selling.
Skill in negotiating and closing business contracts.
Capability to deliver exceptional customer service to build and strengthen relationships with customers and grow account share.
Experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and sales channels.
Competence in utilizing internal resources such as intranet for information and support.
Ability to conduct site inspections and prepare contracts as required.
