Job Description
The Senior Corrosion Engineer position is part of the Asia-Pacific Materials Integrity team based in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves technical engineering decision-making and collaboration with various teams to solve complex problems and implement innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide material-related engineering surveillance and support.
- Solve complex problems using technical expertise and business acumen.
- Develop and implement new technology and innovative solutions.
- Support large capital and smaller regional projects.
- Participate in reliability and maintenance optimization programs.
- Mentor early career engineers.
- Represent the company in industry and external engagements.
Job Requirements
Have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
Have a Bachelor's, Master's Degree, or PhD in Materials Engineering.
Demonstrate collaboration across the organization and with external relationships.
Demonstrate capability to influence without direct authority or beyond core technical discipline.
Promote innovation and compete to win in the marketplace.
Have flexibility to travel internationally to work sites and shop fabrication locations as per business needs.
