Job Description
The Senior Data Engineer at STRATEQ GROUP (Strateq Sdn Bhd) will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data infrastructure and pipelines. This full-time role based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, supports the company's data-driven initiatives by building and managing data models, data pipelines, and ensuring data governance and security according to organizational standards.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Human Computer Interactive (HCI) or a related field.
Experience in ETL/ELT tools such as Talend, Databricks, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, EAI.
Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience in database and data warehousing using SQL, NoSQL, and RDBMS technologies such as MS SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, AWS DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Amazon S3, Azure, Snowflake) is an added advantage.
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is an added advantage.
Experience in version control tools such as Github, etc.
Experience with solution architecture draft/review.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, strong communication and collaboration skills.
