Job Description
The Senior Data Engineer at STRATEQ GROUP (Strateq Sdn Bhd) works in a dynamic environment focused on data solutions. Daily tasks involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data processes and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data infrastructure and pipelines.
- Build and manage data models to support analytics.
- Ensure data governance and security compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Optimize ETL processes for efficiency and performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
- Document data architecture and processes.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Human Computer Interactive (HCI) or a related field.
Experience in ETL/ELT tools such as Talend, Databricks, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, EAI.
Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Amazon S3, Azure, Snowflake) is an added advantage.
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is an added advantage.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
