Job Description

The Senior Education Counsellor - Business Development (B2C) - Central is responsible for supporting the Business Development Team of Taylor's Higher Education, including Taylor's University and Taylor's College. The role involves achieving team and individual sales targets by driving the sales pipeline and generating sales leads through various channels, including partner secondary schools and exhibitions. The position also supports enrolment-related events and works closely with marketing to plan and implement recruitment activities. Customer service and managing promotional materials are part of the responsibilities as well.

Job Requirements

Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.

At least three years of working experience in an education environment is preferred.

Experience in business development and account management within the education sector is preferred.

Experience in regional sales execution is an advantage.

Strong selling and counselling capabilities.

Strong customer service experience.

Familiarity with sales tools, processes, and technological development and management.

Familiarity with higher education products, customer profiling, and competitor profiling.

Knowledge of ATL, BTL, digital marketing, and feeder school marketing and branding approaches.

Knowledge of account management and execution strategies.

Understanding of cost benchmarking for sales and marketing efforts.

Knowledge of agent network management and remuneration.

Experience with footprint expansion, development, and optimization.

Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and/or Mandarin.

Knowledge and skills in using computer software such as Microsoft applications.

Strong attitude and good work ethics.

Highly self-motivated in achieving results.

Interest and passion in higher education and its societal impact.

Sales driven with a passion for delivering results using effective sales methodologies.

Data driven and analytical in planning and decision making.

Excellent presentation, communication, and people management skills including counselling.

Team player with experience working across levels in complex organizations.

Ability to manage conflicts in a sensible, fair, and efficient manner.

Project management capabilities to plan, disseminate, and monitor projects.

Willingness to work beyond normal hours and during weekends.

Possession of own transportation.
