The Senior Lecturer role involves teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities in the field of Constitutional & Administrative Law and Tort Law within a higher education setting. The Senior Lecturer in Constitutional & Administrative Law and Tort Law is responsible for teaching duties including design, preparation, and development of teaching materials; conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals; student consultation; invigilation; marking; and assessment. The role also involves contributing to programme and curriculum development, implementing teaching strategies to optimize student learning, supporting postgraduate research projects, and maintaining high standards of teaching and effective learning. The position includes conducting scholarly activities such as research, conference presentations, journal publications, and relevant community work, as well as supporting grant applications as a co-researcher. Administrative responsibilities include attending departmental meetings, participating in committees and working groups, engaging in continuous professional development, and assisting in establishing academic linkages with external organizations and professional bodies.
Possess a PhD in Law or a closely related field specializing in Constitutional & Administrative Law and Tort Law from a reputable institution.
Possess at least two (2) years of relevant teaching experience.
Preferably with h-index 3.
Graduated at least 1 Master Degree student.
Published at least 3 papers in C.I. journal (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth at least RM20,000.
Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and a high quality of presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning.
Experience working on research projects and activities or experience of professional practice/consultancy work, including evidence of appropriate outputs.
