Job Description
The Senior Lecturer in Emergency Medicine is responsible for teaching and learning activities, including designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials, conducting classes, and supporting postgraduate students. The role involves contributing to curriculum development and implementing teaching strategies to optimize student learning. The position also includes engaging in research activities such as undertaking research, presenting at conferences, publishing journals, securing research grants, and achieving research outcome targets.
Job Requirements
Possess a Master Degree or Doctoral Degree in Emergency Medicine (or equivalent) from a reputable institution with at least three years of relevant teaching experience.
Possess an undergraduate degree in medicine (MBBS or equivalent) with full registration and Annual Practitioners Certificate from the Malaysian Medical Council.
Possession of an NSR registration in Emergency Medicine would be an advantage.
Preferably with h-index 4.
Graduated at least 1 Master Degree student.
Published 4 papers in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth RM75,000 - RM100,000.
Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and high quality presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including effective use of IT technologies in teaching and learning facilitation.
Experience working on research projects and activities or experience of professional practice/consultancy work, including evidence of appropriate outputs.
Demonstrated links to relevant external organisations and/or the profession.
