The Senior Lecturer - Finance is responsible for undertaking a variety of teaching and teaching-related duties, including the design and development of teaching materials, conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals, student consultation, invigilation, marking, and assessment. The role involves participating in high-quality program and curriculum development and implementing teaching strategies to optimize student learning and motivation. Additionally, the lecturer supports postgraduate students in research project work and scholarship, maintaining high teaching and learning standards aligned with the university's expectations. This position also includes engaging in scholarly activities such as conducting research, presenting at conferences, publishing in journals, and community involvement. The Senior Lecturer aids in securing research grants, achieving targeted research outcomes, and participates in administrative tasks like attending departmental meetings and contributing to committees. The role supports professional development activities and helps establish links with external organizations and professional bodies related to academics.
Possess a PhD from a recognised university in Finance or other related fields.
Candidate must have at least two (2) years of experience in teaching or industry.
Possess a strong publication record with at least 2 publications in Q1/Q2 journals (ISI, SCOPUS, Clarivate) in the last 5 years.
Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth RM20,000 to RM30,000 (cumulative).
H-index of minimum 3 on Scopus.
Experience working in higher education environment with a track record in teaching and professional knowledge of curriculum development or evidence of coaching and mentoring and high-quality presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including effective use of IT technologies in teaching and learning.
Experience working on research projects and activities or professional practice/consultancy work with evidence of appropriate outputs.
