Job Description
The Senior Lecturer - Finance undertakes a variety of teaching and teaching-related duties, including the design and development of teaching materials, conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals, as well as student consultation and assessment. The role also includes participation in program and curriculum development, implementing effective teaching strategies to optimize student learning and motivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop teaching materials for finance courses.
- Conduct classes, tutorials, and practical sessions for students.
- Provide student consultation and support for academic success.
- Participate in program and curriculum development initiatives.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication.
- Assist postgraduate students with research projects and scholarship.
- Contribute to departmental meetings and committee work.
- Support professional development activities and external collaborations.
Job Requirements
Possess a PhD from a recognised university in Finance or related fields.
Minimum of two (2) years of teaching or industry experience.
Strong publication record with at least 2 publications in Q1/Q2 journals in the last 5 years.
Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth RM20,000 to RM30,000 (cumulative).
H-index of minimum 3 on Scopus.
Experience in higher education with a track record in teaching and curriculum development.
Proven ability in developing teaching methodologies and materials.
