Job Description
The Senior Lecturer - Interior Design is responsible for teaching and related duties, including the design, preparation, and development of teaching materials, conducting classes and tutorials, and student consultation. The role involves contributing to program and curriculum development, supporting postgraduate research work, and maintaining high standards in teaching and learning. Additionally, the position requires participation in scholarly activities such as research, conference presentations, and journal publications, as well as contributing to administrative responsibilities and establishing linkages with external organizations.
Job Requirements
Possess a doctoral degree or equivalent from a recognised university in design or related field and a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Interior Design.
Registered as Interior Designer with the Board of Architects of Malaysia (LAM) or equivalent.
Preferably with h-index 3.
Graduated at least 1 Master Degree student.
Publication in C.I. journal (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last five years with at least 3 publications.
Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth at least RM20,000.
Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and a high quality of presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning.
Experience working on research projects and activities or experience of professional practice/consultancy work, including evidence of appropriate outputs.
