Job Description
The Senior Lecturer - Media & Communication is responsible for teaching and teaching-related duties including the design, preparation, and development of teaching materials, conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals, consulting with students, and managing assessment tasks. The role also involves participating in program and curriculum development, planning teaching strategies to optimize student learning, and supporting postgraduate students' research projects. Additionally, the position requires engaging in scholarly activities such as research, conference presentations, and journal publications, supporting grant applications, and achieving research targets. Administrative responsibilities include attending departmental meetings, participating in committees, and establishing linkages with external organizations related to academic matters.
Job Requirements
Possess a doctoral degree in Media and Communication, or other relevant fields from a recognized university with at least two years of relevant teaching or industry experience.
Preferably with h-index 2.
Published at least 2 papers in C.I. journal (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth RM 20,000 - RM 30,000.
Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and a high quality of presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning.
Experience working on research projects and activities or experience of professional practice or consultancy work, including evidence of appropriate outputs.
