Job Description
The Senior Lecturer in Orthopaedics engages in a variety of day-to-day activities including designing course materials, conducting lectures, and supervising postgraduate research. The role also encompasses participation in research projects and community engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prepare teaching materials for lectures and tutorials.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for students.
- Engage in curriculum development to enhance educational offerings.
- Support and supervise postgraduate research projects.
- Participate in scholarly activities including research projects and conference presentations.
- Secure research grants and achieve targeted research outcomes.
- Attend meetings and participate in academic committees.
- Establish linkages with external organizations and professional bodies.
Job Requirements
Possess a Master Degree or Doctoral Degree in Orthopaedics from a reputable institution.
At least three years of relevant teaching experience.
Possess an undergraduate degree in medicine (MBBS or equivalent) with full registration from the Malaysian Medical Council.
Preferably have an h-index of 4.
Have published four papers in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last five years.
Experience working in a higher education environment.
