Job Description
The Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry is responsible for teaching, learning, research, and administrative duties within the university setting. This role involves designing and delivering teaching materials, conducting lectures and tutorials, supporting postgraduate research, and contributing to curriculum development to meet high educational standards. The position also includes engaging in scholarly activities such as research, publications, conference presentations, securing research grants, and participating in relevant community work. Additionally, the role entails administrative responsibilities including attending meetings, participating in committees, and fostering academic linkages with external organizations.
Job Requirements
Possess a Master Degree or Doctoral Degree in Psychiatry or equivalent from a reputable institution with at least three years of relevant teaching experience.
Possess an undergraduate degree in medicine (MBBS or equivalent) with full registration and Annual Practitioners Certificate from the Malaysian Medical Council.
Possession of an NSR registration in Psychiatry is an advantage.
Preferably have an h-index of 4.
Published 4 papers in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Secured research grants as a Principal Investigator worth RM75,000 - RM100,000.
Graduated at least one Master Degree student.
Possess at least one Intellectual Property (IP) in the form of patents, copyrights or trademarks.
Experience working in higher education with a record of teaching, curriculum development, coaching and mentoring, and high-quality presentation skills.
Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including effective use of IT technologies in teaching and learning facilitation.
Experience working on research projects, professional practice, or consultancy work with evidence of outputs.
Demonstrated links to relevant external organisations and/or the profession.
