Job Description
The Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry will engage in day-to-day teaching, conducting lectures and tutorials, and supporting postgraduate research within a collaborative university environment. The role also involves administrative responsibilities and fostering academic linkages with external organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver teaching materials for lectures and tutorials.
- Conduct lectures and tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Support and supervise postgraduate research projects.
- Contribute to curriculum development to meet educational standards.
- Engage in scholarly activities including research and publications.
- Present research findings at conferences and secure research grants.
- Participate in relevant community work and academic committees.
Job Requirements
Possess a Master Degree or Doctoral Degree in Psychiatry or equivalent from a reputable institution.
At least three years of relevant teaching experience.
Possess an undergraduate degree in medicine (MBBS or equivalent) with full registration from the Malaysian Medical Council.
Preferably have an h-index of 4.
Published 4 papers in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years.
Experience working in higher education with a record of teaching and curriculum development.
Possess at least one Intellectual Property (IP) in the form of patents, copyrights or trademarks.
