Senior Lecturer – Taylor's College

The Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering is responsible for teaching, research, and administrative duties within a university setting. The role requires a doctoral degree in Computer Science or related fields and at least two years of teaching or industry experience.

The Senior Lecturer - Software Engineering is responsible for undertaking teaching and related duties including the design, preparation, and development of teaching materials, conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals, student consultation, invigilation, marking, and assessment. The role involves participating in high quality programme and curriculum development, planning and implementing teaching strategies to optimize and motivate student learning, supporting postgraduate research projects, and maintaining high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the University's expectations. In addition, the role requires participation in scholarly activities such as research, conference presentations, journal publications, and community work. The Senior Lecturer will support securing research grants as a co-researcher and aim to achieve specified research outcome targets. Administrative responsibilities include attending departmental meetings, participating in committees within the department, school, and faculty, engaging in continuous professional activities, and assisting in establishing academic linkages with external organizations and professional bodies.
