The Senior Lecturer in Special Education Needs is responsible for teaching and related duties such as designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials, conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals, consulting with students, invigilating, marking, and assessment. The role involves contributing to high quality programme and curriculum development, planning and implementing teaching strategies to optimize and motivate student learning, supporting postgraduate research projects, and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning in line with the university's expectations. The role also includes engaging in scholarly research activities such as undertaking research, presenting at conferences, publishing in journals, supporting grant applications as a co-researcher, and achieving research outcome targets. Additionally, the Senior Lecturer participates in administrative responsibilities including attending departmental meetings, participating in committees and working groups, engaging in professional development activities, and assisting in establishing linkages with external organizations or professional bodies in academic matters.
