The Senior Metallurgy & Welding Engineer is a key member of the Asia-Pacific Materials Integrity team based in Kuala Lumpur, providing engineering support to Capital Projects and Operations across various business lines. The role involves contributing to technical engineering decisions, providing technical surveillance and support for materials-related work, participating in reliability and maintenance programs, and supporting both large capital and smaller regional projects with a focus on metallurgy and welding engineering.
Have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry.
Demonstrate work experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: metallurgy and manufacturing, welding/fabrication, inspection/testing, non-destructive examination (NDE), failure analysis, and materials selection.
Demonstrate collaboration skills across the organization and appropriate external relationships.
Demonstrate capability to influence without direct authority or beyond core technical discipline.
Demonstrate personal ownership for developing self and others.
Promote innovation and compete to win in the marketplace.
Be flexible to travel internationally to work sites and shop fabrication locations as per business needs.
