The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for managing local social catering opportunities for the property, achieving and exceeding catering sales revenue goals. This role involves providing supervision to Catering Sales associates as needed, contracting and closing local catering and social business, and ensuring timely turnover for quality service delivery. The Senior Sales Manager also implements brand service strategies, drives customer loyalty through service excellence, and collaborates closely with various departments to coordinate sales efforts and ensure successful event execution.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or related area, or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with no work experience required.
Ability to identify, qualify, and solicit new catering business to meet revenue goals.
Knowledge of market conditions, competitors, and economic trends.
Skills in up-selling and maximizing revenue.
Capability to design, develop, and sell creative catered events.
Experience in negotiating contracts and closing business opportunities.
Ability to manage sales revenue and operation budgets and provide forecasts.
Capacity to collaborate with multiple departments and external stakeholders for coordinated sales efforts.
Commitment to executing brand standards and customer service excellence.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain successful relationships.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest issues effectively.
Willingness to perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
