This role involves targeting group accounts, developing sales plans, upselling creative packages, negotiating contracts, and providing exceptional customer service to maximize revenue and drive customer loyalty.
High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or a related professional area, OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with no work experience required.
Ability to target group and catering accounts effectively to achieve revenue goals.
Strong negotiation and creative selling skills.
Ability to build and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers.
Demonstrated customer service skills to grow account share and drive customer loyalty.
Understanding of market conditions, competitors, and economic trends.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and sales teams.
Capability to handle complex business with significant revenue potential and customer expectations.
Experience in developing and executing group/catering sales plans and creative catered events.
Proficiency in managing operational aspects of booked business including proposal generation and contract management.
