Job Description
The Senior Security Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and managing security solutions such as firewalls, SIEMs, EDR, and DLP tools. The engineer is responsible for conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and audits, as well as monitoring and responding to security events and incidents promptly. They also develop and maintain security policies and standards, collaborate with IT and DevOps teams for secure deployments, lead investigations of security incidents, and ensure compliance with standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR. Additionally, they provide mentorship to junior team members and participate in security awareness initiatives.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are preferred.
In-depth knowledge of network and system security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and forensic tools.
Familiarity with cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Solid understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and ISO 27001.
Experience in scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
