Job Description
The Senior Security Engineer plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's information systems through proactive security measures and incident response. The engineer will work closely with IT and DevOps teams to ensure secure deployments and maintain a robust security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security solutions such as firewalls, SIEMs, EDR, and DLP tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify security weaknesses.
- Monitor and respond to security events and incidents in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain security policies and standards for the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure secure deployments.
- Lead investigations of security incidents and provide detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Participate in security awareness initiatives to educate staff on best practices.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are preferred.
In-depth knowledge of network and system security, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
Familiarity with cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience in scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
