SENIOR SPECIALIST NURSE, OPERATION THEATRE – KPJ Healthcare

The SENIOR SPECIALIST NURSE, OPERATION THEATRE is responsible for providing advanced perioperative nursing care to patients throughout the surgical process. This role involves functioning independently in various surgical specialties while ensuring patient safety and compliance with clinical standards.

In this position, you will engage in day-to-day activities that include preparing the operating theatre and assisting surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures. You will work in a dynamic environment that prioritizes patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Function independently as Scrub Nurse and Circulating Nurse for various surgical specialties.
• Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during operative procedures to ensure smooth workflow.
• Prepare and maintain the operating theatre environment.
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to any changes during surgery.
• Participate in training and quality improvement initiatives.
